What is jftpgw
jftpgw is an FTP proxy/gateway that uses the FTP protocol (unlike those FTP proxies that fetch an FTP file but work as an http proxy). You can use it to make servers behind a firewall/NAT server (masquerading server) accessible or to allow users behind such solutions to transfer files to and from the outside of the LAN. With the new sftp support you can also use FTP to get files from a machine that is only accessible with an ssh connection (see the page on the sftp support).

If you want to know more about jftpgw's abilities, please see the features page.

My name is Joachim Wieland, I'm 20 years old and I'm living in Germany in Northern Bavaria near to Würzburg. At the moment, I'm doing my civil service (instead of a military service). My hobbies include jogging, riding my bike, programming (of course ;-), Unix/Linux, music and going out... ;-) If you want to know more about me or if you think you have something interesting to talk about to me, feel free to contact me, I'm always happy if I receive a mail from someone and if I make new acquaintances.

Please do not hesitate to e-mail me if you have jftpgw-related questions, bugreports, feature requests or any other kind of feedback. PGP is welcome - you can get my public key here.
